The week ahead is the beginning of the holiday season. Before we know it, November will be gone, and in its place, a loud, busy, and oftentimes stressed Christmas and New Year blur. Take my word for it, a little while after Snoopy has moved down that windy New York street, Santa Claus will bring up the rear of the parade. So, for now, we are hunkering down to start decorating, writing out cards, doing general yard/basement/home clean-up before December hits, so we will not be posting as frequently until the seasonal storm has passed. We thank all of our dear readers once again, new and old, who have steadfastly supported us, and who continue to inspire us each day. Your love overwhelms us, and we want you to know that we love and appreciate you, too!
I hope you will try to keep your Thanksgiving as stress-free as possible. If things get spilled, so be it. Trash piles up? We’ll get to it later. Laundry? It can wait until the weekend. You get the idea. I know that we plan on spending as much time in our pajamas as possible getting fat on leftovers! The most important thing (besides staying thankful to our Heavenly Father, for every blessing comes from Him) is time spent together with our kids, and continuing the family traditions we have started. These times go by so fast, and before we know it, we will be visiting them and their families for the holidays. So bring on the eggnog, and bring up the Christmas ornaments from the basement. It’s time to get our decorating on while the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade blares in the background.
Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!
“Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God!” – Philippians 1:3
God bless you,
